Dormant oil and early-season pests
A single early spray that helps reduce overwintering insects.
Relevant stages: Delayed Dormancy, Tight Cluster.
The SKUAST guide recommends Horticulture Mineral Oil at 2 L per 100 L of water, applied before the green tip stage.
- Apply while trees are still dormant and before green tip.
- Cover the whole tree, including branches and trunk.
- Follow the label, and do not mix with other products unless the label allows it.
- At tight cluster, inspect the orchard regularly to control overwintering pests.
