Understanding the spray window
What GOOD and CLOSED mean in Applefy and how the app decides.
Applefy shows GOOD or CLOSED on Home, with a countdown to the next change.
How it decides
It looks at the hourly forecast for your orchard over about the next 18 hours. The window is closed when:
- wind is 15 km/h or more, or
- the chance of rain is 30% or more.
How to use it
- Check in the morning and again before mixing.
- Forecasts change, so leave margin.
- Some products need a longer dry period. The label wins.
- Many stage recommendations say "before rain" or "if rain is forecast". Use the window to plan around them.
General guidance. Always read product labels and consult an agronomist for problems specific to your orchard.
